Kinetics of radiation-chemical transformations of uranium, neptunium, plutonium and berkelium in nitric acid solutions
Description
Behaviour of uranium, neptunium, plutonium, americium and berkelium ions in nitric acid solutions under intensive alpha-radiation induced by curium-244 was considered. Under the same conditions data on the change in hydrogen peroxide and nitrous acid concentration - were obtained. A correlation in the influence of radiation on kinetics of valence transformations of actinoids and yields of products of nitric acid solution radiolysis was ascertained, which provided a basis for the development of a kinetic scheme for the studied process description. Calculations of the actinoid valence transformation kinetics were made. A good agreement between the calculated and experimental data was obtained
