Description

Measurements of the spectrum of inelastically-scattered cold neutrons in a vanadium sample were made with a time-of-flight neutron spectrometer. The phonon spectrum of the vanadium and dispersion curves were established from the experimental data by means of an electronic computor. (author)

Abstract (French)

Au-moyen d'un spectrometre a temps de vol, les auteurs ont determine le spectre de diffusion inelastique des neutrons froids dans un echantillon de vanadium. En partant des donnees experimentales, ils ont reconstitue, a l'aide d'une calculatrice electronique, le spectre de phonons du vanadiuum et les courbes de dispersion. (author)

Abstract (Spanish)

Aplicando la espectrometria neutronica basada en la medida del tiempo de vuelo, los autores determinaron el espectro de los neutrones frios dispersos inelesticamente en una probeta de vanadio. A partir de los datos experimentales reconstituyeron, con ayuda de una calculadora electronica, el espectro fononico del vanadio y las respectivas curvas de dispersion. (author)
