Rare earth different-ligand complexes with benzoylacetone and some unsaturated organic acids

By reacting of the exceess of a respective acid with rare earth benzoylacetonate in dioxane, mixed complexes are obtained of the Ln(BA)2 Acid x H2O composition, where Ln=Nd111, Eu111, Gd111, Yb111, Acid =acrylic-, metacrylic-, maleic-, fumaric acids. The IR spectra of the complexes are measured in the 4600-650 cm-1 range. A rare earth ion is found to be coordinated with the benzoylacetone carbonyl group and with acid carboxyl group
