A thermal flat cone diffractometer for polarization analysis

Creators

Description

A novel instrument for neutron polarization analysis is described. The instrument operates in flat cone geometry. Energy and polarization analysis are performed simultaneously over 30deg in 2Θ by out-of-plane reflection from a bank of Heusler crystals into a position sensitive detector. The instrument allows a systematic 3D mapping of reciprocal space. (orig.)
