Dosimetry in high-energy photon fields for the calibration of measuring instruments for radiation protection purposes
Description
This report describes the dosimetry in various reference photon fields with energies between 4.4 MeV and about 8 MeV. Two dosimetric quantities were chosen. The air kerma was determined from measurements without a phantom and the absorbed dose to water from measurements with a phantom. This mean that the range of realization of the quantity air kerma has been extended from the energy of Co-60 photons to about 8 MeV. The results can serve as basis for the calibration of radiation protection dosemeters in nuclear power plants (0-16(n,p)N-16 reaction) with high energy photons. (orig./HP)

Der Bericht beschreibt die Dosimetrie in verschiedenen Referenz-Strahlungsfeldern mit Photonenenergien zwischen 4.4 MeV und etwa 8 MeV. Es werden zwei Dosisgroessen untersucht. Aus Messungen ohne Phantom wird die Luftkerma und aus Messungen im Phantom die Wasser-Energiedosis ermittelt. Mit den Ergebnissen wird der Darstellungsbereich der Messgroesse Luftkerma von der Energie der Co-60-Photonen bis zu Energien von etwa 8 MeV ausgedehnt. Diese Ergebnisse koennen als Grundlage fuer die Kalibrierung von Strahlenschutzdosimetern in Kernkraftwerken (0-16(n,p)N-16 Reaktion) im Bereich hoher Photonenenergien dienen. (orig./HP)
