Description
Viral encephalitis is a group of infectious diseases of central nervous system caused by kinds of viruses and is characterized by mental and conscious disturbance. MRI has been widely used in the diagnosis of viral encephalitis. In recent years, the value of DWI and ADC measurement in evaluation of the pathologic lesion of viral encephalitis has gradually drawn attention. However, the research on the application of DWI and ADC measurement in determination of the disease prognosis and the evaluation of treatment efficacy is relatively rare. In this paper, we focused on the value of MRI in the diagnosis and the evaluation of the pathologic lesion of viral encephalitis, the determination of the disease prognosis, and the evaluation of treatment efficacy.
