Description
This article describes an overview of detectors to be used for the experiments at the International Linear Collider (ILC), that is a future electron-positron linear collider with center of mass energies 250-500 GeV, extendable to 1 TeV and beyond. Main components of a detector system include a vertex detector, a central tracking detector, and electromagnetic and hadron calorimeters. The detector system is designed to realize unprecedented performance in a relatively clean experimental environment. The Particle Flow Algorithm is a guiding principle of the overall detector optimization. (author)
