Development of a fact-type corrosion database system
Description
A fact-type corrosion database system, described in BASIC which can handle both image data and numerical data was developed. The system consists of the Hitachi workstation 2020 and its peripherals. Data deal with high temperature water corrosion (25-350degC) of stainless, carbon, and low alloy steels. This database consists of two parts, and image data processing function and a numerical data processing function. In the image data processing function, it is possible to search and watch for image data which consist of figures or photos from many reports. These data are recorded on hard-disk using the image processing software OFIS/DRAW and an image scanner as the input device. The numerical data function can display and superimpose numerical corrosion data by specifying the range of corrosion environmental parameters. (author)
