Hydrated cerium(3) and cerium(4) polyvanadatochromates

Description

Using ion exchange of polyvanadic and polyvanadic chromium acid protons for Ce(3) and Ce(4) cations, respective cerium compounds of Ce(2-0.4)/33 [V12-yCry(OH)2yO31-2y]xnH2O and (Ce4(OH)2)1-0.2y[V12-yCry(OH)2yO31-2y]xnH2O composition are produced. Certain structural characteristics, element valent state and thermal properties of the given substances are determined. 9 refs.; 4 figs
