Pinching in electron-hole liquid of germanium

Description
The phenomenon of negative differential resistance in an electron-hole-drop (EHD) system in germanium, when the drops occupy a considerable part of a sample and when conductivity at a constant current through EHD is possible, was discovered and investigated. Negative resistance is observed in fields of 1 Vxcm-1 and is accompanied by current oscillations in the sample. It is shown that this phenomenon may be attributed to the pinching in the electron-hole liquid
