Description
Phase transitions and physical states of the binary systems water - oxyethylated glycerol at temperatures lower than 273 K have been investigated with the differential scanning calorimetry method. It has been found that the systems under investigation are heterogeneous in the solid state; they include both amorphous and crystalline phases, whose ratio depends on the concentration of the substance. Systems have great tendency towards the glass transition. The quantity of bound water per active center of an oxyethylated glycerol molecule has been determined
