Results of epidemiological research on oncological pathology of Kurchatov in the period of 1990-2000

Oncological diseases are a special problem for Semipalatinsk Oblast of Kazakhstan since in this region during 40 years nuclear tests were conducted. Studies of oncological effects among population of Kurchatov were conducted basing on medical statistics materials, cancer-register data for the period of 1991 through 2000. In the paper there is a structure of oncological pathology during the time period under study. Also the paper reveals comparative analysis of the rates of morbidity and death of cancerous new growths in Kurchatov, RK and EKO (East Kazakhstan Oblast). (author)
