Understanding the bismuth luminescence through silver doped Bismuth silicate glasses. P. 26
- 1. Department of Physics, Pondicherry University, Kalapet (India)
Description
In this report, silver doped bismuth silicate glasses have been synthesized at different temperatures. Absorption spectra indicate higher bismuth valence and formation of silver nanoparticles at low temperatures. Emission spectra have been recorded and analyzed to probe the dependency of various emission peaks on Bismuth valences. Influence of temperature and inclusion of silver nanoparticles on the luminescence of Bismuth silicate glass have been understood, which can help in tuning the luminescence. (author)
