Description

Crystal structure of β-K2ZrF2(SO4)2 · 2H2O (monocline syngony, a=10.603, b=7.289, c=13.55 A, β=107.37 deg, Z=4, sp.gr. P21/s) is determined. The structure is formed of anion infinite chains [ZrF2(SO4)2(H2O)2]2- and cations K+. The Zr polyhedron contains two fluorine atoms, two oxygen atoms of water molecule and found oxygen atoms of sulfate groups. One out of two independent sulfate groups-bidentate-cyclic one and bidentate-bridge one-is binding Zr polyhedrons into the infinite chains. 9 refs.; 1 fig.; 2 tabs
