Radiochemical investigation of chalcogenide films. XII. Method for investigating the kinetics of the dissolution of a thin-layer sorbent without separation of the phases

Description

An experimental apparatus which makes it possible to realize a dissolution method for the determination of the local distribution of a sorbed microcomponent in a solid phase has been described. Experimental data on the kinetics of the dissolution of thin-layer cadmium sulfide, as well as cadmium sulfide preliminarily saturated with 115mCd to a state of empirical equilibrium with respect to the isotopic-exchange process, have been presented. It has been shown that over the course of time of observation, the radionuclide is distributed into the entire depth of the cadmium sulfide film during the isotopic-exchange process, although the main portion of the microcomponent is concentrated in the zone of the sorbent layer near the surface
