Description

Formation of complexes between oxovanadium(4) and bicyclo-(2,2,1)-5-heptene-endo-2,3-cis-dicarboxylic acid (H2L) in aqueous solutions has been studied by the NMR method. The state of the ligand and the complex forming agent in solution has been studied separately. The complex formation in the system VO2+-H2L has been found to take place in a stepwise way. It is suggested that in strong-acid solutions the ligand and complex forming agent interact in protonated forms
