Thermal stability of decomposition products of yttrium hydroxochromate

Description
The process of yttrium chromite formation under yttrium hydroxochromate decomposition ends at 900 deg C. With further temperature increase the chromite structure improves. The produced yttrium chromite is a highly dispersed product. The powder particle size at 1000-1100 deg C is 1 μm. The particle shape is equiaxial. The specific surface value makes up 1-1.5 m2/g. The increase of temperature and heat treatment duration increases the particle size up to 2 μm
