Solubility of water vapors in molten alkali metal bromides
Creators
Description
A method of replacement by inert gas was used to determine water vapor solubility constants in molten alkali metal bromides and thermodynamic characteristics of the solution process. Comparison with results obtained for nitrate melts has shown the counterpart trend in changing solubility values depending on a salt nature. This permitted to suggest that a value of melt surfacetension and its temperature dependence along with the hydration affect considerably the water vapor solubility in bromides
