Breakup processes in heavy-ion induced reactions

Description
Cross sections for breakup of 20Ne into 16O and α during scattering from 40Ca were calculated in terms of the distorted-wave Born approximation. The inclusive 16O cross section observed in the 40Ca(20Ne,16O) reaction was then found to be fitted very well by the sum of this breakup contribution and that of the α-transfer reaction calculated in our previous work
