Description
With current resources, expertise and feedback, it is possible not only to extent the life of a steam generator in its initial configuration but also to adapt it to new operating conditions by carrying out modifications ensuring compliance with new pollution standards or with other new requirements as defined by the operator. In many cases these modifications, with maximum participation of local partners in manufacturing and erection, also reduce unit operating costs and optimize the plant owner's investment. The results reported here are based on GEC ALSTHOM Stein Industrie's several decades of experience of designer and manufacturer of boilers of all types and on the development over the past ten years of its activity of maintaining and converting existing installations.(author)
