The use of a short-lived radionuclide in the investigation of acute bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract

Description
A method is described for the detection and monitoring of bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract. A short-lived radionuclide (113I) is used. Acute bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract in patients without signs of shock and preshock usually stopped within a short time after onset. (auth.)
