Welding of Zircaloy-2 applied in nuclear reactor cores constructions

Description

A short characterization of Zircaloy-2 according to its wide reactor application is given. Weldability of Zr-2 has been examined. The technological conditions of welding have been determined for plugs and claddings connection of fuel elements. The paper contains examinations of structural changes in different zones of joints.
