Description

In 1992, EDF commissioned a review of activities in the field of nuclear data for fission power technology applications in OECD Countries. A summary of this study, which was carried out in cooperation with the consultants EUROGRAM, is presented. The situation is of concern to the French nuclear industry because of the few measurement facilities which are now funded for work in the field and because of the reduction in the numbers of scientists and experts in measurement and evaluation of nuclear data. To maintain continuity of expertise, CEA and the French Nuclear Industry have hired several young scientists to work with leading experts in the different fields.
