Scattering matrix and resonance states in the Kerr-Newman geometry

  • 1. Kishinevskij Politekhnicheskij Inst. (USSR)

Description

A unified approach to describe the scattering and quasibound resonant states for the Klein-Gordon equation in the black-hole is developed which is based on the Jost method. Some general definitions and properties of the S-matrix, amplitudes, differential and total cross sections are presented for the Kerr-Newman axisymmetric configurations. Some concrete results (scattering and absorption cross sections, characteristics of resonant levels for massive particles) are calculated in the long wavelength limit
