Thermographic investigation of polymorphous transitions in cadmium and zinc arsenides

Description
Thermographic investigation of polymorphous transitions of α-modifications of cadmium and zinc arsenides is carried out. Transitions α→α', α→α'' in Cd3As2 take place in the range of 507-512 and 680-790 K respectively. On heating curve of Zn3As2 an anomaly at 670-770 K is detected. To evaluate the heat of polymorphous transition the temperature dependence of heat capacity is studied using adiabatic calorimeter at 296-560 K. The heat of α→α' transition for Cd3As2 constitutes 238.8 J
