Acceleration and stability of a high-current ion beam in two accelerating gaps of an induction gaps of an induction linear acceleration

Description

Results on numerical modeling the dynamics of tubular heavy-current ion beam in two magneto stimulated accelerating gaps of induction linear accelerate are presented. It is shown that the proposed method of ion beam compensation provides for its stability relative to both filamentation and time-of flight instabilities
