A Higher Order Flux Reconstruction Method

Description

A method for reconstruction of local homogeneous flux distribution from nodal solution is presented. The flux distribution is represented via bivariate expansion that is a combination of analytic functions and Legendre polynomials. The equations for analytic functions obtained from the variational principle are solved iteratively. The results for modified NEACRP-L-336 C5 benchmark problem compare favourably to the well-known 13-point expansion. (author)
