Description
An inflationary mechanism for avoiding the cosmological domain wall problem associated with the breaking of a discrete symmetry at a phase transition with low (≅ 1 TeV) critical temperature Tc in the early universe is proposed. Although the scenario is illustrated in the context of Calabi-Yau superstring inspired models it could be applicable to other models as well. (orig.)
