Na2WO4-K2WO4-WO3 ternary system

Description
By methods of physicochemical analysis (differential thermographic, X-ray and infra-red spectroscopic techniques) it has been established that in the ternary system Na2WO4-K2WO4-WO3 there is formation of the continuous solid solutions Na2(K2)WO4 and Na2(K2)W4O13 and of three new compounds: 3Na2WO4.9K2WO4.8WO3, 12Na2WO4.K2WO4.12WO3 and 11Na2WO4.7K2WO4.7WO3. The ternary eutectic point of the system Na2WO4-K2WO4-WO3 has a temperature of 5200C, which is nearly 2000 lower than the melting temperature of Na2WO4. (author)
