Economic efficiency criteria for research reactors using in material testing

Description

The problems of criterion option for comparative estimation of possible technical designs of research reactors intended for material testing are discussed. A notion of economic efficiency reduced costs per work unit is proposed to use as a criterion of quantitative economic estimation of the efficiency of various designs. Reactor efficiency is estimated not from the point of view of efficiency of R. 8D works carried out at the reactor but from the viewpoint of its usage as an instrument of investigations. The criteria obtained for multipurpose and loop reactors make possible not only to estimate the efficiency of one or another technical design (e.g. when constructing the new reactor or reconstructing the operating one) but also to determine economic benefit or losses due to deviations of reactor operation regime from planned regime
