Multistop time-digital converter
Description
This article describes a mutltistop TDC with a resolution of 1 ns designed for time of flight mass spectrometry (maximum 128 μs) in heavy ions induced desorption experiments. The dead time of the device is 80 ns. An optional circuit for random rejection of stop signals allows observation of the second of two masses desorbed simultaneously, whose time of flight differs from the first by less than 80 ns

Cet article decrit un convertisseur-Multistop avec une resolution de 1 ns pour la mesure des temps de vol (maximum 128 μs) en spectrometrie de masse pour etudier les phenomenes de desorption. Le temps mort du dispositif est 80 ns. Un circuit pour la rejection aleatoire des stops permet d'observer la seconde des 2 masses desorbees simultanement si leurs temps de vol sont separes de moins de 80 nsFiles
