Description

The interaction of supersonic water saturated argon beam, with a polycristalline silver surface was investigated by secondary ion mass spectrometry and molecular beam relaxation spectrometry. The dependence of secondary ion peak intensities of Ag+n(H2O), H3O+m(H2O), OH-m(H2O) where n=0.....6, m=0...4 upon surface temperature is examined in the range 80 deg K-400 deg K. Such measurements have been complemented by modulated molecular beam technique and thermal programmed desorption in order to get an evaluation of the coverage and an estimate of the kinetic interaction parameters
