Description

The methodology adopted by the Instutute of Radiation Protection and Dosimetry to implement the National Inspection Program of Conventional Industries is present. This methodology is being efficient because of many technical and administrative problems about radiation protection could be identified, analysed and solved gradually. Many workplaces of gammagraphy are analysed in relation to radiation safety, geographyc localization and social-economics aspects. (Author)

Abstract (Portuguese)

Apresenta-se a filosofia adotada pelo Instituto de Radioprotecao e Dosimetria para a implantacao do Programa Nacional de Inspecao em Industrias Convencionais que utilizam radioisotopos e aparelhos geradores de radiacao ionizante. Esta filosofia mostrou ser, na pratica, muito adequada uma vez que inumeros problemas de ordem tecnica e administrativa, em protecao radiologica, puderam ser identificados, analisados e solucionados gradualmente. Realiza-se, tambem, uma analise da situacao dos servicos de gamagrafia sob os aspectos de seguranca, localizacao geografica e socio-economica. (Autor)
