Comparison of data for polarized deep inelastic electron-proton scattering with vector meson dominance predictions
Description
The purpose of this paper is twofold: (1) to show that in the region of small x and large y the predictions for the cross section asymmetry Δ(parallel) of the VDM are independent of the details of the special type of VDM, and (2) the predictions of the VDM are in reasonable agreement with preliminary SLAC data, provided that the relevant rho0p scattering amplitudes as suggested by the Regge model and by the data for rho0 photoproduction are chosen.
