Description

This article presents the results of an inquiry aiming to study the information procedures of patients relative to the risk associated to ionizing radiations during acts of radiodiagnosis (radiology acts, scanner). This inquiry was organised by A.V.I.A.M. (association helping the medical acts victims and their family) and its regional antennas. It is important to emphasize this inquiry concerned a limited cross-section of persons and was not conceived by specialists of statistical inquiries. It does not pretend to establish an inventory for the entire French population: the conclusions drawn from it are thus to use with caution. Finally, the questionnaire was deliberately focused on the potential health risks associated with irradiating acts. (N.C.)
