Status on general research and development plan for geological disposal and R&D programs conducted by Agency for Natural Resources and Energy

Description
Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) in Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has established a coordination council for research and development (R&D) programs for geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste (HLW) and TRU waste. The council has been establishing R&D plans for a certain period (e.g., 5 years) through managing R&D programs from the viewpoint of their comprehensiveness and exclusion of duplications. Funding programs for part of the established R&D plans have also been performed by ANRE itself. The present lecture introduces a history for establishing general R&D plans and status of the present R&D programs funded by ANRE. (author)

高レベル放射性廃棄物(HLW)および地層処分相当TRU廃棄物の地層処分のための研究開発について,資源エネルギー庁では実施内容を調整するための会議体を設置している.この会議体では,必要な研究開発内容を網羅するとともに,重複を排除するなどの調整を経た上で,5ヶ年といった期間での全体的な計画(全体計画)を策定してきている.あわせて,策定された全体計画の一部の内容について,資源エネルギー庁自ら地層処分研究開発に関する委託事業を実施している.本講演では,これまでの全体計画策定の経緯を紹介するとともに,資源エネルギー庁委託事業の現状を紹介する.(著者)Additional details
