Are superstring theories finite

Creators

Description

The problem of the finiteness of superstring theories is reviewed. Infinities are shown to occur in the multi-loop amplitude for superstrings that require to be cancelled order by order. Whether the supersymmetry of superstrings is capable of achieving this cancellation to all orders is discussed in detail
