Synthesis and investigation of boron halogenacetylacetonates

Description
Difluoroboryl, dibutylboryl and boron dioxyphenylene acetylacetonates containing a halogen atom (Cl, Br) in γ-position are synthesized with 31-42% yield. Melting temperatures of these compounds are determined. IR, UV spectra as well as luminescence spectra are obtained. All boron halogenacetylacetonates are less stable than the corresponding acetylacetonates
