Canadian options for greenhouse gas emission reduction (COGGER). Appendices B to F
Description
An appendix to a report on Canadian options for greenhouse gas emissions reduction includes tables on the nature of CO2 emissions in Canada and selected International Energy Agency countries; a survey of government and industry projections of energy demand, energy efficiency, and fuel switching; a discussion of two alternative methodologies for modelling energy consumption and economic interactions; and an annotated bibliography of 37 Canadian, United States, and international studies on the cost-effective potential for energy-related CO2 emission reduction. The bibliography forms the bulk of the appendix and for each study, the study objectives, the measures examined, the scenarios considered, and other aspects are summarized. Summary tables are included of the results of each study, showing the study region covered, base and final years, discount rate, gross domestic product growth rate, CO2 increase, and net cost. 45 refs., 60 tabs
