Description

In this paper we investigate the nonlinear magneto-optical rotation by using the coherent laser fields in a GaAs quantum well semiconductor. We consider a double V-type quantum well system which interacts with three laser fields. It is shown that, in the presence of a static magnetic field, the polarization direction of probe field can be controlled by the intensity of applied laser fields. Our results show that the birefringence behavior appears without absorption of probe field.
