Thermodynamics of hydrogen interaction with liquid Fe-Ni-Ge alloys
Description
In order to study properties of liquid Fe-Ni-Ge alloys, investigations of hydrogen solubility in them as a function of composition and temperature have been carried out. Thermodynamic characteristics of interaction between atomic hydrogen liquid alloys have been determined. The isotherms of hydrogen activity factors in liquid Fe-Ge, Ni-Ge, and FeNi-Ge have been built. Significant negative deviations of solubility characteristics from additive values, the degree of which increases with temperature, and also when moving from Fe-Ge to Ni-Ge alloys, are observed. A method for calculating hydrogen solubility taking account of micrononuniform structure of liquid Fe-Ni-Ge alloys and the nearer order parameters is proposed. The theoretical results show good agreement with experimental data
