Description
The analysis is made of the results of sonographic examination of 862 initial patients with subsequent performance of additional X-ray and radionuclide investigations to diagnose chronic calculous and calculousless cholecystitis and to determine the role of sonography in the general complex of diagnostic measures in cases of hepatopancreatoduodenal zone diseases. It is shown that the use of sonography as a screening method in diseases of the hepatoduodenal zone is advisable. For diagnosis of calculous cholecystits sonography is a selection method and does not require additional investigations. To diagnose a chronic cholecystitis sonography and dynamic hepatobiliscintigraphy should be performed
