Soliton propagation in bulk and confined 3He-A
- 1. University of Southern California, Los Angeles (USA). Dept. of Physics
Description
Solitons in superfluid 3He-A have been observed by pulsed NMR as they propagate through bulk fluid as well as through the 17 μm spaces between parallel plates. Although certain characteristics of the propagation are modified by the effect of the finite geometry, there is no substantial effect on the propagation velocity. (orig.)
