Some string and coherence phenomena
Description
A few aspects of semisoft or soft QCD phenomena are considered. It is shown that the CM energy dependence of the hadronic energy flow in three-jet events can be used to distinguish perturbative and non-perturbative explanations for the string effect. The possibility of colour flow reconnection in hard processes is reviewed. A method to quantify angular ordering in parton showers is studied. (orig.)
