Description
The original analog on-line determination system for uranium concentration is upgraded based on gamma-ray absorption method. The transformed system consists of detector, digital spectrometry and industrial computer. The detector and digital spectrometry are used to measure the transmitted intensity of gamma-ray. The detector is installed in the niche and the digital spectrometry is located beside the niche. The industrial computer, which is equipped with upper computer software, is installed in main control room for observation. The communication between the upper computer software and the digital spectrometry is established by using CAN bus interface. The testing results indicate that the relative standard deviation of the transformed instrument is 0.0294%. The measured values of uranium concentration for 10 hours fall within μ ± 3σ range which shows that the stability of the system is good. (authors)
