(π,NN) reactions for nuclear structure studies
Description
Quantitative extraction of information from the (π,NN) is a little difficult due to the uncertainty in the description of the absorption vertex and the existance of the three body final state. Nevertheless, various attempts have been made which use either the one nucleon or the two nucleon model for the absorption vertex. In this paper a comparative study is made of these models and the utility of the two nucleon model based on the phenomenological interaction is discussed. (Auth.)
