Co-relation of personal dose with health risk

Description

This paper reviews the radiation doses received by 156 radiation workers of Defence Laboratory in context of their health risks. The radiation doses received by the occupational workers using 252Cf, 241Am-Be, 60Co, 137Cs, 192Ir, X-rays etc., in last 28 years have been studied to obtain co-relation with the observed health conditions. The cumulative radiation doses reported by personnel monitoring services (PMS) for the period 1981-2008 were in the range of 0.0-16.85 mSv, with total effective dose of the radiation workers being 254 mSv; on an average of 1.65 mSv per person
