Introduction to SSAC training course

The evolution and perspective of the present series of SSAC courses covering both item-dominant and bulk handling facilities (in the even and odd years respectively) are reviewed. The overall objective of the 1982 SSAC course will be discussed and the structure and format presented, together with a brief survey of the course curriculum. The major course components will be described, including lecture presentations, the workshop session, the tours to Los Alamos, including hands-on equipment demonstrations, and the field trip to the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
