Description
In accordance with the practical requirements, the instruments available at the Bundesamt fuer Strahlenschutz for measuring radon and the short-lived radon decay products, as well as the required calibration equipment are to be improved and completed. Furthermore, modern methods of personnel dosimetry are to be introduced for monitoring the working population in the mining industry and in similar activities. Important aspects are also the development of efficient methods for the detection of radon sources, in particular in buildings, as well as the measuring of the equilibrium factor, in particular in open air. In addition, the influence of meteorological factors on the measured values is to be determined in relation to the specific tasks. (orig./DG)
Abstract (German)
Entsprechend den praktischen Erfordernissen sind die im Bundesamt fuer Strahlenschutz verfuegbaren Messmittel fuer Radon und kurzlebige Radonfolgeprodukte sowie die erforderlichen Kalibrierungseinrichtungen zu komplettieren und zu vervollkommnen. Zur Ueberwachung der fuer bergbauliche und aehnliche Taetigkeiten eingesetzten Werktaetigen sind zusaetzlich moderne personendosimetrische Methoden einzufuehren. Wichtig sind auch die Entwicklung von rationellen Methoden zu Aufspueren von Radonquellen, insbesondere in Gebaeuden, sowie die messtechnische Erfassung des Gleichgewichtsfaktors, insbesondere im Freien. Ausserdem ist der Einfluss meteorologischer Faktoren auf die Messwerte im notwendigen Umfange zu erfassen. (orig./DG)Additional details
