Impurity production and screening in FTU

Description
The production and retention of metallic impurities in the FTU scrape off layer have been studied by inserting a Titanium target in the plasma periphery. Deuterium sputtering reasonably accounts for the impurities produced, while their retention in the SOL improves when the last closed magnetic surface is approched
